What's new to the 2022 Toyota Tundra

While Toyota has yet to release all the nitty gritty details about the Toyota Tundra, it has leaked a few telling images that provide us with some bits. The new Toyota Tundra will likely have a completely redesigned exterior, a refreshed interior, and a brand-new engine. Otherwise, the list of changes is rather unknown.

Performance

Delaware, OH drivers can look forward to a new twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 engine with the 2022 Toyota Tundra. This new engine provides substantial power over the previous engine, to the tune of 409 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. Two-wheel drive comes standard while four-wheel drive is an upgradeable option.

The new Tundra delivers a maximum towing capacity of 10,200 pounds and can haul payload weights of up to 1,730 pounds, making it easy to get your work trailer to the next job site in Dublin, OH or haul away plenty of materials to finish the job faster. Both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive are available on every model. The Tundra TRD Pro enhances off-road ability, allowing you to explore rugged terrain or poor weather conditions around Marion, OH with greater confidence and ease.

Design and Comfort

The new Toyota Tundra offers two available cab options. The Double Cab comes with four-doors, but the rear doors blend in. The Double cab is available with a 6.5-foot or 8-foot bed. The CrewMax cab is larger, offering four full-size doors and is only available with a 5.5-foot bed. The CrewMax model also features a full sliding rear window that will roll down all the way for fresh hair when driving around Westerville. Inside the cabin, the new Tundra offers comfortable seating for up to six passengers in both cab styles. Both cloth and leather upholstery are offered throughout the lineup.

Technology

As it stands, the 2022 Toyota Tundra will likely get a new set of tech features. IF we go off of the images released by Toyota, then the new Toyota Tundra will have a new infotainment display. It's probably safe to assume that new Toyota Tundra will also include smartphone connectivity somewhere along its trim lineup along with a host of tech upgrades.
