Toyota recently announced that it facilities across Japan would return to half-time production. In the wake of the March 11 tsunami-quake disaster, this news was more than welcome. It also left everyone wondering when full, pre-crisis production would resume.

2011 Toyota Yaris 3-Door

The 2011 Toyota Yaris 3-Door is fastly becoming more popular than its 4-door counterpart. Output for the Yaris is 104 lb-ft @ 4,200 rpm, and with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine the Toyota Yaris is rated at 106 horsepower.

Toyota Prius Targeting 62 MPG

Toyota vice president for product communication, Jim Colon, made this announcement last week:  "Whatever goal [the Obama administration] establishes, Toyota will be prepared to meet. If it's 62 miles a gallon, we'll be able to achieve that."
