Are you a current soldier on active duty or inactive reserve status? Well then, Toyota certainly has some good news for you. As tens of thousands of troops return home from overseas, Toyota has decided to give them a special "welcome home" gift, the Welcome Home Special APR Program.
Under this program, soldiers on active duty status in any U.S. Military branch, or on inactive Reserve status with the same, are invited to receive a 1.9 percent APR for up to sixty months when they finance a 2011 or 2012 new Toyota vehicle through Toyota Financial Services. In addition to this great rate, military personnel may also use a $500 Military Rebate. A similar special is also targeted towards drivers of Toyota's luxury brand, Lexus. The Toyota special offer ends March 5, 2012.
Mike Groff, Group Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Product Development for the Toyota and Lexus financing companies, explains the reasoning behind the offer, stating, "In appreciation for all that they have done, and continue to do, we hope these rebates and special APRs make it a bit easier for our men and women in uniform who are in the market for a new vehicle. We understand that it's certainly a tough economic time right now for many military families, so it's our hope that these special APRS and rebates, which can be coupled with other incentives, will help our troops save some much-needed and hard-earned money."1
